Californians had a lot to celebrate last week.  On Tuesday, common sense prevailed and voters soundly rejected the recall of Governor Newsom.

Voters saw what was happening in other states under Republican leadership  -- fights over mask mandates, rising COVID cases, women losing the right to make decisions about their own bodies and healthcare -- and sent a clear message:  we don’t want those types of leaders running our state.

But while we may pause and celebrate, we also can’t take our eyes off the prize:  keeping a Democratic Majority in the House.
