Every year, over 46 million turkeys are killed for Thanksgiving celebrations. This somber reality is harsh enough to overshadow even the most positive values that this holiday is meant to exemplify.

But it doesn't have to be this way.

Farm Sanctuary has rescued countless turkeys over the past three decades-rehabilitating them with nutritious food, shelter, medical care, and love. At our New York and California sanctuaries, they live out their lives for years beyond the five-month mark at which most factory-farmed turkeys lose their lives.
