Friends,
Plastic pollution is harming our planet. And the problem has only gotten worse since the pandemic began last year.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. This October accept our challenge to go Plastic Free!
We’re asking you to commit to reducing your use of single-use plastics — especially plastic bags, bottles, and straws — from October 1 to 30.
We’re asking you to reuse or recycle the plastic you do use, to educate others that reusable is doable during the pandemic, and to advocate for a #PlasticFreeDMV.
Enroll today in the 2021 Plastic Free Challenge!

Participants in the Challenge will receive twice weekly emails with expert advice, useful tips, and practical alternatives to commonly used plastic items.
We will also share a weekly free, easy action you can take to challenge the systems in place that create an overabundance of waste.
Because if we’ve learned anything over the last couple of years, it’s that our individual choices are only part of the solution to the plastics crisis. We cannot carry the full burden of this problem ourselves.
Take the Plastic Free Challenge today!
