Hi friends,

Alyse here—I wanted to reach out today to let everyone know what I’ve been up to these past few weeks.

I recently met with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union, where we discussed safety in the workplace, job certainty, and Attorney General Clarkson and Governor Dunleavy’s continued dismantling of unions.

As the season continues to change here in Alaska, I said goodbye to the summer by attending the last farmer’s market of the season in Anchorage. I enjoyed hearing from farmers from Anchorage and the surrounding areas about the challenges they face, and of course picked up some great vegetables for the family.

And finally, I wanted to share this picture from Mile 180 lake on our way to AFN this week. It’s such a joy to be able to see so much of Alaska’s natural beauty on the campaign trail.

The AFN Convention is the largest representative annual gathering of Native peoples in the United States, and it is a great learning experience. There was much energy and enthusiasm, leaving me hopeful for Alaska’s future.

While I’ve been incredibly busy, campaigning is such a rewarding experience. At every stop, I get encouragement and meet with folks interested in joining our movement for change here in Alaska.

But if we are going to defeat Don Young and win this race, we are going to need to build the greatest grassroots network Alaska has ever seen. Help us have the resources we need by making a contribution today» [[link removed]]

Hope to see you soon!

Best,
