Jack xxxxxx,
Early voting starts tomorrow for a crucial special election in San Antonio this month.
The campaign to fill the seat of former Democratic State Rep. Leo Pachecho is being heavily contested by Republicans who are eager to steal the seat and further tilt the balance of power in their favor in the Texas Legislature.
There are multiple Republicans and Democrats running, and, if no candidate gets a majority of the vote later this month, the top two vote-getters will advance to a runoff. Boot Texas Republicans doesn’t endorse in races where multiple Democrats are running, but if the race goes to a runoff as expected, we’ll work hard for the Democratic candidate.
Republicans have been eyeing this district for years -- and they know they have a good chance to flip it from red to blue because turnout is typically lower in special elections than in normal cycles.
We need your help to make sure the district stays blue. Will you chip in $20 or more to help us defend this crucial seat in the Texas Legislature?
Local elections are often overlooked in Democratic circles, but they’re just as -- if not more -- important than federal elections. Republican control of the Texas Legislature has led to massive restrictions in reproductive rights for women, access to the ballot, and has hampered our state’s ability to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We can help keep this seat blue -- but we need your help. Please chip in what you can today.
Thanks for your help,
Boot Texas Republicans
