Pennsylvania General Assembly Republicans aren’t the only ones perpetuating Donald Trump’s big lie and undermining the integrity of Pennsylvania’s free and fair elections: Trump’s hand-picked successor to Pat Toomey, Sean Parnell, has shamelessly followed in the footsteps of his endorser.

After the 2020 election, Parnell filed a lawsuit to throw out more than two million lawful mail-in ballots cast by Pennsylvania voters. As one of the nine GOP U.S. Senate candidates who filed lawsuits on behalf of Trump, Parnell stands by the lawsuit to this day.

Trump Republicans like Parnell have made it clear that they would rather please Donald Trump to score cheap political points than protect our democracy.

Parnell has made it clear he’ll do everything in his power to get elected to the U.S. Senate — including pandering to Trump and his allies in the Senate and eroding our democracy.

To make matters worse, Senate Republicans broke their own fundraising records last month, raking in $8 million to support anti-democracy candidates like Sean Parnell and take back the Senate.

Pennsylvania isn’t the only place we’re seeing these kind of rampant attacks on the right to vote. Over the past few months, we’ve witnessed states like Texas, Georgia, and Florida pass unprecedented voter suppression laws. Republicans in these states know they can’t win fair and square, so they’re creating a false, warped narrative about “voter fraud” to conceal the truth behind their voter suppression tactics.

It’s critical that we elect Val to the U.S. Senate to keep election deniers like Sean Parnell out of office and away from power. Pennsylvania deserves a leader who will put the best interests of the people before party loyalty.
