John -

It’s hard to believe that this weekend marks a year since we lost Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a giant in American history.

She was a champion for equality and justice. She worked tirelessly to create and defend legal frameworks that advanced women’s rights, reproductive freedom, voting rights and more.

She left behind a remarkable legacy that continues to inspire, and I will never forget the privilege I had to meet her while she was with us.

But the months since her death have revealed the urgency of fighting to uphold her legacy.

We saw Mitch McConnell break his own precedent and ram Donald Trump’s nominee through right before Election Day. It was a blatant push to make the court more partisan and further their own extreme agenda.

Now, we’re seeing attacks on our fundamental rights by state legislatures across the country. In the last few weeks, Texas enacted extreme voter suppression and anti-choice legislation.

It’s in these moments, when our democracy is on the line, that I’m reminded of her advice:

“Fight for the things you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you."

This is exactly what we must do if we’re going to honor Justice Ginsburg’s legacy and secure justice.

I pledge to always fight for our shared values in the Senate. We can make real progress on voting rights, affordable health care, reproductive freedom and more, but it will only be possible if we are in this together.

Will you please join our fight to flip North Carolina’s Senate seat by making a $3 donation to our campaign today? We must repair the damage Republicans have done to the court and our democracy.

Thank you for being part of this.

- Cheri Beasley
