Just in, John.
The official ratings are out from last week’s debate in Westerville, Ohio. More than 8 million people tuned in to watch. 8.3 million to be exact. And what they saw from Beto is a leader with the courage to fight for all of us — and for the future we believe in. But as it stands right now, Beto will NOT be up there for the next one.
We’re about to explain why it’s so critical but can you rush a $3 or anything you can pitch in to help Beto qualify for the next debate? Every dollar counts as we work each day to meet the DNC’s final requirement.
Only 9% of Democratic voters say they’ve made up their minds on who they’re supporting in this election. 91% have NOT fully decided on a candidate. That’s why voters are tuning in to the debates. And people really watch these things!
Take a look:
November’s debate could very well set a new record for viewers as more Americans really start to tune in. And unless we get to work right now and change things, they won’t see Beto up there when they do.
Everyone is asking whether our grassroots movement will be enough to qualify for the next debate. We have to prove ourselves right now—make a donation of $3 and help us stay competitive when it matters most.
We know Beto works hard—no one can dispute that. He hosts town halls all the time. He hits the road to visit as many places as he can get to (28 states so far!). He does interviews and roundtables and forums. He’s all in for us. But there is simply no better way to reach millions of voters at once than these debates.
Eight candidates have qualified. Thanks for doing your part to make sure Beto does too.
