This isn’t rocket science, John.
Over half of Americans agree that we need stricter gun laws in this country. And they have every right to feel frustrated:
- On top of the pandemic, gun violence is putting children and teenagers in hospitals in record numbers around the country.
- On average, 38,826 Americans die every year of gun violence.
- Americans are 25 times more likely to be killed in a gun homicide than people in other high-income countries.
But here’s the problem: greedy GOP lawmakers are beholden to the NRA and gun lobbyists’ money. They would rather take marching orders from them than fight to protect our communities.
As a former law enforcement officer and gun owner, Tim knows we can make vast progress in the fight for gun safety on the federal level.
There are broadly popular and bipartisan reforms we can take ASAP to save lives — including universal background checks, extreme risk protection orders, and safe storage laws.
But until Congress takes action, we’ll never see actual progress in the gun violence epidemic, John. Join Tim and sign on to our petition demanding Congress pass common-sense gun safety legislation immediately >>>
