Dear John,

My good friend Senator Gary Peters is up for re-election in Michigan — a state that President Donald Trump carried — and it's sure to be one of the most important elections in 2020.

Gary is on the frontlines fighting for affordable health care, fair wages, and clean water. He is a fierce champion of working families, and it's essential that we help send him back to the Senate in 2020.

If you haven't yet joined Democrats across the nation in chipping in to support Gary, now is the time. We can't turn the Senate blue without re-electing Gary Peters, and we can't afford to lose his voice on the issues that matter most. Chip in $10 or more today to prepare for a long fight ahead →

Republicans' hand-picked candidate John James, a strong Trump supporter, entered the race and raised $3 million in the last fundraising quarter alone. Republican groups are already flooding this race with dark money, and Gary's got to keep pace.

It's clear that James and his GOP allies will stop short of nothing to flip this seat. But Gary's had tough races before, and he's never backed down from a fight.

Democrats have to defend Gary's seat if we want to take back the Senate in 2020. We need all of our grassroots supporters — that means you — to step up and make sure Gary has the resources he needs to defend his seat from a GOP takeover.

Thanks for having Gary's back,

Chris
