I’m writing to you today on behalf of my friend, Joyce Craig. As you know, her primary is next week, and before that, she has to report how much money her campaign has raised thus far. It’s also the first time her opponents will report how much they’ve raised.
You don’t need me to tell you how big of a deal this is. For the first time, reporters and pundits are going to see, side-by-side, how much each candidate for Mayor has raised. I’ve seen it before: A candidate posts a number smaller than the press expected, and the entire narrative of the campaign changes. All of a sudden it’s a real fight.

I told her I would help her raise $2,000 - yes, $2,000 - to help her hit her goal for the campaign finance report deadline. Will you contribute $25 right now to help us make that happen? [[link removed]]
It’s a big ask, I know, but I wouldn’t do it if it weren’t so important.
Over the past four years, we’ve made so much progress. Crime is down in our city. There’s a real plan to tackle homelessness. And Joyce has passed budgets that support our schools and neighborhoods and adhere to the tax cap. That’s the kind of leadership we can’t afford to go without. And that’s why we need to re-elect Joyce this year.
I know politics has seemed like a never-ending battle these last few years, but we can’t afford to go backwards. Your contribution of 25 bucks to Joyce’s campaign will help her post the number she needs to on Monday’s report. Can I count on you to help? [[link removed]]
