You’d think that after floating that you might run for Congress in a district that isn’t your home, you might lay low for a few days.

Not Lauren Boebert.

She was in the news again this week for saying that President Biden should be immediately removed from office, adding: “We are sons and daughters of revolutionaries. They went to battle for a lot less.”

That sounds an awful lot like someone who isn’t trying to hide the role she played on January 6th, when she tweeted that “Today is 1776.”

Boebert’s been in Congress for less than a year, but she keeps finding a way to make headlines. It’s hard to keep up.

The other day, in a strange, desperate attack on COVID safety measures, she tweeted that the “proper role of government is not to keep you safe every day” but to keep people free. I mean, can you even imagine if a prominent Democrat had said that? Boebert herself would have immediately gone on TV to decry efforts to defund the police and military.

Look, we’re still in the early stages of our campaign to take on Lauren Boebert on her home turf — and I have to admit this whole enterprise seems like it’s going to be one heck of a dizzying, nauseating carnival ride.
