While running for Congress, I’m still working full-time as an immigration lawyer, helping immigrant families and asylum seekers and handling detention cases.
I’m dedicated to supporting the people who are relying on my help. But I need to compete with Henry Cuellar’s $1.7 million campaign warchest to make history in Laredo, Texas come election day.

You see, John, when candidates run for Congress, they often have to spend hours and hours each and every day doing what’s known as “call time” — literally calling up rich people and asking them to give to the campaign.
But sadly, a lot of Congressional candidates end up spending more time reaching out to donors than reaching out to their communities and building connections with the people they wish to represent.
But my campaign is doing things differently. Instead of relying on big checks from rich donors, I’m relying on folks just like you to chip in whatever you can — no matter how small. If enough people make gifts then we’ll definitely be on pace to close our fundraising gap with Henry Cuellar.
