John,
When you’re a physician, you have a few pretty straightforward — though not always easy — goals: Listen to your patients. Work with them to diagnose the problem. Then find a solution and help them get better.
That’s the way I intend to serve in the U.S. Senate. We know many of the problems Americans are facing — health care that is often unaffordable. An escalating climate crisis. Politicians attacking the integrity of our democracy itself for their own personal gain.
We also know many of the solutions. We have to put people over politics and corporations to lower the costs of health care for patients. We must invest in clean energy that will create good-paying union jobs for Pennsylvanians, and ensure that our buildings and transportation are energy-efficient. And we have to secure our democracy by protecting the right to vote and blocking attempts to overthrow our elections.
It’s not that easy — but it is that simple. I’m ready to get the job done for Pennsylvania and for our country.
But John, I need your help — will you add a donation of any amount to our campaign so we can get things done together?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I have taken what I learned as a doctor and public health professional to serve one of Pennsylvania’s largest counties as Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners.
As a result, we’ve been able to guarantee a $15 minimum wage and implemented paid parental leave for county workers. These are real things that make a difference for Pennsylvania families, but right now, they’re not guaranteed everywhere.
There was a time when Senate Republicans understood the concept of working together to create progress, but that time has come and gone. Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans made a choice to put fiction over fact, and partisan politics over people. I made a choice, too — the choice to run for U.S. Senate so I can put my experience and this Senate seat to work for Pennsylvanians.
It’s always been my number one job to take care of Pennsylvania’s families, and I’m ready to continue that work by flipping this seat blue and serving in the U.S. Senate.
Thanks for your support.
With determination,
Val
