This past week, our teams set out to raise an additional $10,000 in grassroots donations by midnight on Thursday and truthfully, John, we're still trailing behind our goal by less than $4,000.
Now that we've crossed the midway point of September, we all need to put our best foot forward in working to reach our goals and continue building our movement's momentum to keep Jamaal in Congress. And when we can't reach our goals, we lose out on precious time and resources we need to keep running our competitive campaign.
Closing the gap on this goal will allow us a stronger base come the end of September, and the end of the FEC quarter. And more importantly, it will allow Jamaal the time and resources to focus 100% on legislating for our needs, not fundraising.
