Once again, the president of this country is using divisive, disgusting language to distract, twist, and impart harm.

This morning, the president tweeted about the House's impeachment investigation, saying that “All Republicans must remember what they are witnessing here—a lynching.”

Let me start by saying this: The gross use of the word “lynching” is directly tied to our nation's deeply horrifying past of slavery and segregation. And it is further tied to racism, discrimination and violence that people of color continue to face in our country.

Here in New Mexico, we don't stand for hateful rhetoric based on some of the darkest moments of this nation's history. Add your name and tell House Republicans: Racist, violence-inciting comments are not welcome nor tolerated. It’s time to impeach. If 5,000 people speak up today, we can send a message the Republicans can't ignore.
