Hi everybody,

Here’s October’s Cindy-Cated news hot off the press! The past month has been a
whirlwind and we wanted to make sure you’re up to speed with all the hard work
Cindy has been putting in to stand up for Iowa.

🏛️Supporting and Passing Important Legislation 🏛️

* The House voted to pass Cindy’s bill that holds corporations accountable
for shipping American jobs overseas.
* Cindy voted YES on legislation that lowers the cost of prescription drugs
by providing cheaper, safe generic drugs on the market.
🚘Traveling and Visiting with Constituents All-Around Iowa’s Third District 🚘

* We met with Polk Community Groups in Urbandale during a tornado warning
(Don’t worry we stayed safe inside!).
* Cindy was honored to receive the Spirit award for her work on LGBTQ+ issues
at the Iowa Safe Schools Spirit Awards Dinner.
* Cindy visited with folks at the Classic Cafe in Malvern.
* We attended the Iowa Democratic Party’s Constituency Caucus.
* Cindy attended Rural Broadband Roundtables to hear directly from folks
about bridging the rural broadband gap.
* We visited with the Latino Heritage Festival in Des Moines and Cindy spoke
with Qué Pasa Iowa?.
* As you know, Cindy visits every county in Iowa’s Third District each month,
so there were plenty more stops throughout the district.

* Cindy was once again rated by the Town Hall Project as the most accessible
Freshman Member of Congress. She has held over 50 town halls and public events
across the district.
👏 Telling Mitch McConnell To Do His Job 👏

* If you missed it, take a quick second to add your name to Cindy’s petition
to call on Mitch McConnell to do his job!
<[link removed]> He’s
been sitting on his hands, refusing to even hold hearings on legislation that
impacts millions of hard working Iowans.
