Folks, we’re on the verge of passing urgent climate legislation that would drastically reduce carbon emissions and create good-paying jobs. It’s a huge step toward a clean-energy future. I’m fighting for a rebate program to help folks affordably electrify their homes and vehicles, and for a clean-energy standard. This fight is personal to me. I want to leave my two sons with the New Mexico lands and waters I love so much, and keep our planet livable for everyone. We need to get this right. I’m treating it like our last chance to make a real difference in the fight against climate change — because it very well could be. I rallied with conservation leaders outside the Capitol last week to demand immediate action on climate from my colleagues. Then, I went straight to work to make these calls to action a reality.
