Good morning Friend!
I can barely contain my excitement for Nevada Public Lands Week! The team
and I have been working hard to make celebrating Nevada's public lands as
engaging in a virtual space as it is hitting the parks and trails in
person.
I wanted to remind you that we are kicking things off this [ [link removed] ]Tuesday,
September 21st at 6pm with our Conservation Listening Tour Virtual Town
Hall, featuring Treasurer Zach Conine, State Senator Chris Brooks and our
fabulous conservation partner organizations.
Nevada has received millions in federal funds from the American Rescue
Plan that will be directly invested back into programs and initiatives to
build back better. That includes our parks and outdoor spaces, which not
only sustain our life and diverse ecosystems, but a billion dollar outdoor
recreation industry that supports tens of thousands of jobs in our state.
Treasurer Conine has traveled Nevada taking feedback from constituents on
how that money ought to be spent - that's why I'm inviting YOU to make
sure your priorities are heard!
[ [link removed] ]Please register and join us here on Tuesday evening to learn more about
the environmental protection opportunities which federal funds could be
used for, and bring your own information, experiences, and ideas that our
state leadership needs to hear in approaching this important topic.
Also be sure to [ [link removed] ]share the Facebook event page and invite a friend or
two to spread the love for our public lands! It'll be a terrific night of
conversation about our public lands, protecting our wildlife, revitalizing
outdoor recreation, and so much more.
I'm looking forward to seeing you there,
