John,
Public transportation has the potential to change people’s lives, particularly folks who have been left behind. That’s why I introduced the Public Transportation Expansion Act, a bill that would build public transportation serving affordable housing and low-income communities.
Not only would it connect affordable housing with transit networks in order to serve riders and commuters in low-income communities, but it would boost an eco-friendly alternative to driving. I’m also pushing hard for the bill’s inclusion in the ongoing reconciliation negotiations.
These negotiations are tense and there’s a lot on the chopping block. Will you donate today so I can continue fighting hard for public transportation funding in the final bill?
I’m not in this alone. My fellow Georgians Sens. Ossoff and Warnock are leading the way in the Senate by introducing the companion bill. We all know that this is more than just about trains and buses, it’s an investment in people.
Public transportation increases access to job opportunities, nutritious food options, and health care. We’ve seen the lack of transit options in Georgia, and we’re doing something about it to benefit all Americans.
Will you support our work to boost funding for public transportation by donating to our cause today? With your support, we can make it happen.
Thank you,
Hank Johnson
