John,
One year ago today, we lost one of our greatest advocates for equality. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a trailblazer who boldly pushed boundaries, broke barriers, and worked tirelessly to fight discrimination.
On that devastating day, not only did we lose an American hero, we lost a feminist advocate on the Supreme Court. In the following weeks, millions of Americans watched in fear as Donald Trump nominated a far-right extremist to take her place.
Since the moment Justice Amy Coney Barrett was sworn in, Americans have been plagued by nightmares about Roe v. Wade being overturned by the conservative Supreme Court – erasing the progress we made nearly 50 years ago. Today, those nightmares could become a reality.
The Supreme Court just allowed Texas to enact a law that bans nearly all abortions, essentially overturning Roe v. Wade in the state. The worst part is: This isn't the last of the GOP's fight to dismantle our reproductive freedom. Florida is already working on passing a copycat law, and my opponents have already stated that New Mexico would follow if we don't keep our state blue.
This is a horrifying moment for millions of Americans, but now is not the time to mourn; now is the time to fight back. I've been a strong advocate for reproductive freedom throughout my career, and I need your help to continue safeguarding Roe v. Wade in New Mexico. It's going to take all hands on deck to stop the GOP, so will you join me in this fight, John?
As long as I'm in office, I will never allow the GOP to take away our freedom to make personal decisions about our reproductive health. Please, if you have even a few dollars to spare, donate to my reelection campaign to help me elect Democrats up and down the ballot and protect abortion access in our state.
As the GOP attempts to carry out its extremist agenda, will you donate $5 today to protect reproductive freedom and keep New Mexico blue?

I know Ruth Bader Ginsburg is smiling down on grassroots Democrats like you, who are honoring her legacy by continuing to advocate for gender equity. Thank you so much for your support.
