The next week and a half will be a major test for Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats.
Weeks ago, Pelosi managed to get every single House Democrat to vote for the $3.5 trillion budget resolution setting up a later vote on reconciliation. In exchange, Pelosi promised that there will be a vote on the separate $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill by Sept. 27 (which the Senate already passed).
Should the infrastructure package come to the floor before the final $3.5 reconciliation bill, Pelosi will have trouble getting the support of the far-left socialists in the party. They have demanded a vote on the reconciliation bill before the infrastructure package.
Heritage Action strongly opposes both bills—a vote for either is a vote for both—as it makes it easier for Biden, Pelosi, and Schumer to enact their agenda.
Thank you for being in our corner, and together we can fight back against the Left’s disastrous policies!
