John:
Two weeks from today, we have a very real chance to transform Philadelphia’s political system forever. And in a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a donation to support their campaigns. But first I want to lay our theory of change for you, because this is important.
Philly's City Council has two at-large seats that, each cycle, are reserved for the “minority party.” For over 50 years, that has always meant Republicans. And they have used those seats to block progress for working people whenever they could. But thanks to you, that could now all come to an end.
Kendra Brooks and Nicolas O’Rourke are working class champions running on the Working Families Party ballot line for those two seats. With two weeks to go, they have the clear momentum in this race, outraising opponents and inspiring a grassroots movement of volunteers on the ground. A win on November 5th would put an end to Republican influence in Philadelphia.
Just close your eyes and imagine it: lifelong community organizers with positions in City Hall to push affordable housing, full and fair funding for public schools, ending police targeting of Black and Brown people, and so much more.
That’s not a pipe dream. It’s real. We can build that better world. But we only have 14 days to turn out as many voters as possible for Kendra and Nicolas. Are you with us?
Split a donation today between Kendra Brooks, Nicolas O’Rourke, and the Pennsylvania Working Families Party and let’s make history on November 5th.

The Working Families Party has been going all-out to help elect these two amazing candidates. But this election won't be easy. We need to reach as many voters as possible over the next two weeks and let them know about the power they hold in Philly to kick Republicans out and put Working Families in. Thank you for standing with us.
In solidarity,
Vanessa Clifford
