Team,

When I talk to Granite Staters about what issues are top of mind, countless individuals ask what we can do to combat the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs.

That's why in 2019 I voted to pass the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act (H.R. 3) to ensure that no one would have to worry about whether or not they can afford their medications.

H.R. 3 was reintroduced in the House earlier this year and would lower prices, stop price gouging, and reduce out-of-pocket costs by allowing Medicare to negotiate prices directly with drug companies. My provision, the Advancing Enrollment and Reducing Drug Costs Act of 2019, was also added to the legislation to expand low-income seniors' access to prescription drugs under the Medicare prescription drug benefit program.

All Granite Staters deserve access to affordable prescription drugs, but if we don't take action now, the price of prescription medication will continue to increase. Sky-high prices for life-saving medications will continue to endanger people's lives if they can't get the medication they need.

But National Republicans don't like that I'm standing up to Big Pharma. That's why a dark money group has placed ads in my district targeting me for trying to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

No amount of ads will deter me from fighting to lower drug costs for Granite Staters -- but I need to ensure folks in my district can hear my message. Will you chip in to my campaign to help me fight back against dark money attack ads and set the record straight?

Thank you,

Chris Pappas
