Before you log off for the weekend, I want to send you a quick note about a big thing that happened today. Early voting in Virginia starts today!
After taking control of the legislature and Governorship, Democrats in Virginia overhauled the voting process to make it more inclusive. Now, as Virginians head to the polls to decide on their next legislators and Governor, we know that this election in Virginia will be fair and safe.
The new changes include making it easier for Virginians to vote-by-mail, repealing voter ID, implementing automatic voter registration, and making Election Day a holiday. But now we are running into a problem. The GOP is really upset about the expansion of voting rights. They are doing everything they can to defeat Democrats and install pro-Trump Republicans to roll back progress in Virginia.
We need to make sure Virginia doesn't move backward on voting rights. Can you chip in to make sure the GOP doesn't take back Virginia?
