Last week, Gov. Henry McMaster promised to fight back against the Biden administration’s plans to stop the spread of the pandemic “to the gates of hell.”
Seriously. You just can’t make this stuff up…
Sadly, too many South Carolinians are going through hell right now because Gov. McMaster refuses to lead. Instead, he keeps reminding us that he cares more about his politics than the people of this state. Lacking the courage to lead is nothing new for Henry… even during an epic public health crisis. And because we have no leadership, South Carolina’s daily infections, new cases and COVID hospitalizations are among the nation’s highest per capita.
School children are dying and positive cases are piling up by the tens of thousands. Just the other day, we lost 138 people to this virus. ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-EIGHT SOUTH CAROLINIANS DIED FROM COMPLICATIONS OF COVID-19 IN ONE DAY. Record highs like this bring our state to a new low. But you won’t find McMaster fighting “to the gates of hell” to protect our people, slow the spread or help put an end to this pandemic.
