Our work at Defend the Senate is driven by our mission to fight back against the GOP, elect Democrats, and strengthen our Democratic Senate majority.

We know that we can’t do this work alone, so we’re grateful for you and other grassroots supporters across the country who are equally committed to building and defending our movement to protect Democrats.

As we look ahead to the upcoming midterm elections, we are aware that there are several major threats to the Democratic Party that could put our narrow majority in danger. The midterms are right around the corner, and it’s imperative that we start to lay the groundwork to support the candidates and Senators up in 2022 — because if we wait any longer it may be too late.

And think about all of the opposition we faced in order to flip the Senate in 2020. We had to protect the rights of every eligible voter and defend our candidates from the onslaught of attack ads that slander and spread misinformation about them and their campaigns.

That was 2020, but you can bet Mitch McConnell and his allies will employ these same tactics again next year. And they will be coming at us even harder to try and take back the majority.

We must gather our resources now because we can’t allow the GOP to successfully flip even one seat. If they do, they could take back the Senate and undo all of our hard work.
