On Monday, September 20, the House of Representatives will vote on advancing the Build Back Better Act, which includes funding for many important social needs, but also inexplicably sneaks in a $50 billion subsidy for nuclear energy, $15 billion subsidy for fossil fuels, and funding for expensive false solutions such as carbon capture and hydrogen.
Funding these false climate solutions takes a huge amount of money away from the investments we desperately need in renewable energy, weatherization, energy efficiency, and building electrification to address catastrophic climate change.

Instead, I hope [REPRESENTATIVE] will push for more spending on real climate solutions like renewable energy and energy efficiency and heat pumps.
