Left's response to Texas abortion law reveals a cruel disregard for life

By: Jim Daly

At the very same time the United States Supreme Court was reviewing an emergency request to block implementation of SB8, Texas’ new heartbeat bill – a doctor inside Fort Worth’s Whole Woman’s Health was putting in a 17-hour day, frantically aborting 67 babies before a midnight deadline.

According to reports, the physician was lauded for exhibiting commendable stamina, with the director of clinical services at the facility suggesting doctors half his age wouldn’t have been able to pull off such a feat.

“For a moment, they were able to savor it,” wrote an insider. “Even if he (the doctor) had performed one abortion, it would have been a victory.”

Savor and qualify the deaths of 67 innocent babies as a win?

Boy Scouts Settle With Sexual Abuse Victims — Christian Scouting Alternatives Continue to Grow

By: Jeff Johnston

In a second settlement with Scouts who were sexually abused while participating in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), the compensation fund for the victims grew to $1.9 billion dollars.

“A total of 82,450 survivors are entitled to the new pool of cash,” the New York Post reported. Attorneys in the case have said there will be “additional settlements in the ‘coming weeks.’”

The BSA reached an $850 million settlement in July with victims of sexual abuse, with the national organization paying $250 million and local scout groups paying $600 million. This most recent settlement had The Coalition of Abused Scouts for Justice coming to an agreement with BSA insurer Harford Financial Services Group for $787 million and a $250 million settlement from the Mormon church.

Most U.S. ‘Christians’ Don’t Believe the Holy Spirit is Real, Study Finds

By: Zachary Mettler

Most American adults who say they are Christians don’t hold to the historic, orthodox understanding of who the Holy Spirit is, a new study has found.

The Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University conducts an annual American Worldview Inventory survey (AWVI) which examines the beliefs and practices of the U.S. adult population. The AWVI began as an annual study in 2020 and is “the first-ever national survey conducted in the United States measuring both biblical and competing worldviews.”

The latest data comes from the American Worldview Inventory 2021 survey which examined the following question: “What does it mean when people say they are ‘Christian?’”

Federal Judge Temporarily Blocks New York Vaccine Mandate for Healthcare Workers with Religious Objections

By: Bruce Hausknecht

On August 16, the governor of New York ordered all hospital workers in the state to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 27 or lose their jobs. Other healthcare workers in non-hospital facilities have until October 7 to comply. The state department of health issued an “emergency” regulation on August 26 reflecting the mandate’s requirements.

Some healthcare workers with religious objections to receiving the vaccine are pushing back in two separate lawsuits recently filed against the state, alleging that the vaccination mandate violates the Constitution as well as the federal employment law known as Title VII.

In response to one of the lawsuits, a federal judge issued a restraining order on September 14 blocking the mandate until the judge hears more evidence and conducts a hearing.

%$#! Joe Biden? No. Pray for Joe Biden!

By: Paul Batura

For a second Saturday in as many weeks, explicit chants denouncing President Joe Biden erupted at college football games — a growing trend that seems unlikely to subside anytime soon.

But it should.

Regardless of whether or not one agrees with President Biden, we shouldn’t be cursing him with vulgar talk — instead, we should be praying for him.

It was the apostle Paul who wrote to Timothy, “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Tim 2:1-2).
