The climate crisis is here, John. In recent weeks, Hurricane Ida raged in Louisiana and her aftermath wreaked havoc up and down the East Coast, including in Wilmington. Wildfires are still blazing on the West Coast, and all across the country the temperatures are unpredictable and unprecedented. These dangerous weather patterns are giving us a glimpse into what our new "normal" will look like if we don't take meaningful action -- now. Chris knows that time is running out, which is why he's leading efforts to pass climate-conscious legislation in the Senate. But mitigating the climate crisis is going to take each and every one of us, so Chris needs to know you're with him. Will you add your name today to join this critical fight? Chris is proud to partner with the Biden Administration in the fight for our climate. The bipartisan infrastructure package includes critical measures to build up climate resilience and invest in renewable energy, and President Biden has made it clear that protecting our environment is a top priority. This is not a crisis that affects all of us equally, John. Communities of color, low-income communities, and other marginalized groups are facing the most extreme consequences of climate change. That means addressing the climate crisis is an issue of justice and equality too -- which is why Chris is supporting an additional $3.5 trillion investment to build back better. We all need to commit to the fight against climate change, and we're running out of time to do so. Will you sign Chris' petition to join him in this critical fight for our future? Thank you, Team Coons |
