In less than two weeks, we close the books on our first, full official FEC fundraising deadline of this campaign.

When it ends, we’re legally required to report how much money we’ve raised.

It’s hard to overstate how important this deadline is. Hence the multiple emails. Everyone will be looking to see what we raise. The press, allies, and our opponents.

If we share a big number, it could invite a lot of additional support for us. If we share a small number, it could invite a lot of attacks against us because Republicans will think we’re weak and begin pummeling us with attacks.

And that is why we’re asking. Once again.
