Travel update in Nottingham 17 September - 24 September
Walking and cycling
Hucknall Road Improvements
Work will begin on Monday 20 September on Hucknall Road, on measures to make it easier for people walking, cycling and using the bus.
The phased scheme will include a 24-hour widened bus and cycle lane, widened footways, and a stepped cycle lane.
The first phase begins on the section between Tring Vale and Heathfield Road and will last for about six weeks.
It's part of Nottingham and Derby’s Transforming Cities programme. Working in partnership, Nottingham City and Derby City Councils secured £161 million from the Department for Transport to invest in local transport infrastructure that will improve sustainable transport, support growth, and encourage more low carbon journeys.

Have your say - school travel survey
The Nottingham Schools Travel Survey is for parents or guardians of pupils who attend primary schools in Nottingham.
Sustrans is working with the City Council supporting schools in the city to help more pupils to walk, scoot or cycle to their school.
This survey is about how your children travel to school and why, and will help Sustrans and the council to understand the issues families face around the school journey and encourage more pupils to travel sustainably to school.
