The Senate Education Committee yesterday voted to extend the time school security guards have to complete the mandated National School Resource Officer training. This means these guards will be permitted to be armed in our kids’ schools with the minimal training required of your average mall cop and while they delay the specialized school training. This is dangerous! Tell Harrisburg to stop playing games with school safety and vote no on HB 49.
