John,
With continuous natural disasters, and the U.N. deeming climate change a “ code red for humanity,” it is clear that we must do something now to combat the climate crisis that is already threatening our lives in California.
My Democratic colleagues and I are pushing through legislation to do just that, including President Biden’s full infrastructure package that will invest in a green energy future.
But too many of my Republican colleagues still deny the problem even exists, much less will cooperate with a solution.
John: this is why expanding our majority next year is so critical. We must have more support in Congress to pass climate change action into law. Will you sign my petition to make your voice heard in support of bills like our infrastructure package that tackle this issue?

As the former Chief Medical Officer of Sacramento County, I know the personal health effects of climate change in our region. I am committed to listening to the scientific facts and acting on them.
That’s why I know we must invest in our climate infrastructure, to slow down the effects of the climate crisis — including the risks to our health.
Investing in green jobs, air quality, public health, lowering energy costs, investing in electric vehicles, and modernizing electricity to become 100% carbon-free are all ways we can be put on the right track to combat climate change — and make sure we remain competitive on the global stage.
We don’t have a moment to lose in this fight. I need 3,000 activists to join me in supporting real climate infrastructure, in this small window when we can still make a difference.
Thank you for taking action.
Be well,
Ami
