I'll keep this short because I'm about to get a call from my finance director, and I already know what she's going to say: We still haven't closed in on our $25,000 mid-month fundraising goal, and if we don't, we'll be on shaky ground just as Sen. Grassley is getting ready to announce that he's running for reelection.

I have every intention of winning this race – I wouldn't take on a seven-term incumbent like Sen. Grassley if I didn't think I could win. Instead of being a fighter for Iowa's working families, Sen. Grassley is more of a chess piece for Mitch McConnell. But to defeat him and expand our Democratic majority in the Senate, we absolutely need to hit these fundraising goals.
