A person’s right to an abortion should not be up for discussion. What happened in Texas earlier this month is unconstitutional — plain and simple.

On September 1, SB8 was signed into law by Republican Texas Governor, Greg Abbott. The bill moves to ban ALL abortions after six weeks without any exceptions. And, the Supreme Court — packed with multiple Trump-appointed justices — refused to even hear the case to stop its implementation!

But late last week, after public outcries across the country, the Justice Department said it will sue Texas over this abortion ban. We support the Justice Department in its fight against this unconstitutional law, and we will continue doing everything we can to protect the right to choose.
