------------------------------------------------------------
Dear John,
You know the federal government’s debt is growing fast and politicians will raise your taxes if they don’t stop borrowing. But do your friends and family understand what’s at stake?
The feds are borrowing $424 million every day and the government won't balance its budget until 2070 on the federal government’s current trajectory.
If more Canadians don’t wake up to the debt problem, it’s a good bet that politicians will raise your taxes. That’s why the Canadian Taxpayers Federation created the taxpayer guide to the 2021 federal election.
The guide will help all Canadians understand where each party stands on the debt, balancing the budget, taxes and spending before voting on Sept. 20.
We need your help to make sure more Canadians see the guide before voting. Can you share the taxpayer guide with your friends and family? Just click this link to open the taxpayer guide to the 2021 federal election: [link removed] ([link removed])
The guide also provides key stats on the state of Canada’s finances. Did you know that the federal government spent more in 2018 than it did in any single year during the Second World War? That’s even after accounting for inflation and population growth. And that was before the pandemic.
You can help spread the message about the $1-trillion federal debt by sharing the taxpayer guide to the 2021 federal election. You can download it by clicking this LINK ([link removed]) .
Thanks for fighting for taxpayers – it’s making a difference!
Sincerely,
* Franco, Shannon, Todd and the rest of the CTF team.
