One of the most common misconceptions in our culture is that women facing unexpected pregnancies want to have an abortion.
Whether it’s to exercise a fictitious “right to choose,” or driven by “convenience” or “control,” the abortion industry pushes the message that women desire abortions.
But the truth is, the vast majority of women facing an unexpected pregnancy don’t want an abortion; instead, they turn to abortion because they believe it is their only option.
In fact, of the women who come to Human Coalition seeking an abortion, 76% would prefer to parent if their life circumstances were different. Often, these women are in incredibly difficult situations and struggling with the basic necessities, such as food, housing, childcare, and employment. Many also already have at least one child – and adding another just seems even more impossible.
As the mountain of challenges build up, they struggle to see a way out… they struggle to find hope… they struggle to believe they have what it takes to overcome the obstacles in front of them.
That’s exactly how Cherri was feeling in the video Rachel Lane shared with you a few days ago. It’s not that she wanted an abortion. It’s that her circumstances felt like too much to take on her own. And abortion seemed like the only option.
Tragically, moms like Cherri are the same women Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry exploit every single day.
They take advantage of the fears and uncertainty these moms are experiencing. And instead of providing these moms with true help and hope in their time of crisis, they push abortion as the only way out. Even worse, they do it all to make a profit!
But fueled by the generosity of pro-life partners like you, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry are not going unchallenged.
Thanks to your prayers and support, Human Coalition’s National Rescue System reaches at-risk moms in some of the most abortion-dense communities across the country – including places like Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Raleigh, Cleveland, and Fort Worth, and many others.
These moms are shown that they have options other than abortion. And they are empowered with the resources to confidently choose life for their children – and to THRIVE long after the crisis has passed.
As you know, a generous partner has provided a $175,000 Challenge Grant to inspire giving this back-to-school season and serve more moms during their time of crisis and need. That means every gift received by September 30 will be combined with the grant and help DOUBLE the lifesaving impact.
