Before leaving office, the Trump administration attempted to gut Washington’s protections for workers at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation who get sick on the job. Bob’s legal team beat them
twice and defended these workers’ access to quality care and compensation.
To our surprise, the Biden administration plans to continue the Trump-era challenge, which would eliminate protections for Hanford workers.
Bob has been fighting for Hanford workers as long as he’s been Attorney General, and he won’t stop now. We need 5,000 supporters to stand with him and call on the Biden administration to withdraw their appeal:
Bob took the federal government to court in 2015 over protections for Hanford workers, leading to the first-ever legally enforceable commitment from the federal government to install necessary safety protections for workers at significant risk of exposure to toxic fumes.
He proudly accepted the “Hanford Hero” award for that work on behalf of the men and women who supported the lawsuit because their lives were devastated due to exposure to tank vapors.
Afterwards, Bob worked with the Washington State Legislature, labor, and many others to pass bipartisan legislation to ensure Hanford workers who get sick on the job get access to the health care and benefits they earned.
The Trump administration tried — and failed — to challenge these protections, and now the current administration is trying again. Bob will stand up for what’s right regardless of who occupies the White House.
Bob is taking a stand for Hanford workers’ rights, and he needs you on the team. Click here to add your name.
Thank you,
