With a new season upon us, Population Connection has an amazing line-up of speakers scheduled over the next few months!
Our first presentation, Clash of Tempos: Making Sense of Ecological Balance Today for Tomorrow, and will be given by Dr. Elizabeth Esekong Andrew-Essien, professor in the Department of Environmental Resource Management at University of Calabar. It will take place on Thursday, September 30th at 2:00 pm ET/11:00 am PT.
Dr. Andrew-Essien’s presentation will examine how human actions, such as urban development and modern agricultural practices, along with rapid population growth, have devastated natural systems. She will then explore how eco-aggressive approaches that integrate local knowledge can restore ecological balance.
You can register for Dr. Andrew-Essien's talk here!
Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you have questions. We hope you’ll be able to join us!
