Thanks to you, I’ll take the debate stage in Detroit in just 12 days.

Also thanks to you, we’ve seen a huge wave of support for our campaign in the just the past 24 hours.

I’m going to do everything I can to make you proud on that debate stage.

Growing up, I never thought I’d run for President.

I was raised by a single mom. We struggled just to get by.

The only reason I knew there was a Governor’s house in my hometown was because I delivered newspapers to it.

Now as Governor, my wife and I are raising our three kids in that very same house.

I got my shot at the American Dream. Now I’m running for President to make sure everyone -- no matter who you are or where you grow up -- gets that fair shot at a better life.
