Since 1934, when FDR was President, the party in power has consistently lost House seats in midterm elections. In fact, only three times in nearly a century has the party in power gained seats in the House.
In the 2022 midterms, it's forecasted that Democrats could lose the House, and if we do, Radical Republicans like Matt Gaetz and Majorie Taylor Green will have the chance to advance their far-right agenda.
