The past two weeks in Texas have shown us how elections matter: An anti-democratic voter suppression bill and dangerous ban on abortion were signed into law because of the Republican supermajority in our state. Congress can set national standards that will nullify these attacks but only if we can hold onto our House majority. A GOP-led House puts all of the progress we’ve made at risk.
