Friend --

U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA), one of the most prolific gun control advocates in the U.S. Senate, has teamed up with Sen. Richard "Dick" Blumenthal (D-CT) to push a new anti-gun bill through Congress. When Dick isn't making up stories about serving in Vietnam, he's out looking to restrict your fundamental rights. It makes perfect sense why he and Sen. Feinstein would collaborate on Senate Bill 2725. ?The bill, also known as the?Accountability for Online Firearms Marketplaces Act, targets peaceful gun owners who use modern tools, such as a virtual marketplace, for buying, selling, and trading firearms, parts, and ammunition.

According to a press release put out by Sen. Feinstein, the goal of this legislation is clear. ?"In enacting Section 230, Congress did not intend to grant a sweeping liability shield to all companies, including firearms marketplaces, merely because they operate in cyberspace," the statement read in part. So basically, Section 230 was meant for other companies, just not those companies that are in the firearms business. Got it!

This bill was only recently introduced, despite being promoted for weeks, so the time to hit back against this legislation is NOW. We thank you in advance for your engagement on this pressing issue. ?As you can see from the fall of Chipman, our outreach matters. Elections are approaching and those in elected office do not want to take hard votes ahead of primaries and the general election. So let's make some noise and let's beat back another legislative leviathan together! FPC continues to proudly serve as your advocate for "All the Rights. All the Time."
