Dear John,
This is my first full week as President and CEO of Verified Voting, and I’m thrilled to be here. I want to take the opportunity to introduce myself directly and share why I’m leading this organization through such a pivotal point for our democracy.

In many ways, leading Verified Voting is an extension of my work as a nonprofit executive with twenty-plus years in the U.S. democracy and international development spaces. I have a global perspective - and events happening around the world and here at home only reinforce my belief that our democracy is fragile and we can’t take it for granted.

Since its founding in 2004, Verified Voting has worked tirelessly to make our elections more secure, accessible, and trustworthy for voters by advocating for scientifically-sound best practices – voter-verified paper ballots, strong chain of custody, and risk-limiting audits – and supporting election officials in their work to run safe and secure elections. We’ve made so much progress in that time, but our democracy is on the line. I’m ready and eager to lead this important organization and its talented team into the next chapter as we advance our mission, increase our capacity, and expand our education and outreach efforts.
I want to hear from you to find out what’s on your mind about the state of our democracy as I help harness this organization’s expertise to meet the challenges and opportunities ahead of us. Please click here and take five minutes to complete this four question survey by Friday, September 24. Your answers will inform my initial set of priorities, my leadership approach, and it will help shape the next chapter of Verified Voting as we continue our work giving voters justified confidence in our elections.
With thanks,
Sangita Sigdyal, President & CEO
