Help us celebrate the first day of early voting in Virginia by joining us for our AYD September Social Hour on Friday, September 17th at 7pm.
Our monthly social hours are a great opportunity to meet new people, learn how to get involved, and catch up with your fellow young Dems! Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you there!
The location for this event is Ireland's Four Courts, right off the Courthouse Metro. There is street parking available nearby as well.
AYD Canvass for Candi King, Dan Helmer, & VA Dems
Join us for an AYD Canvass double header! We'll be heading out to Woodbridge to help out Candi King for VA House District 2 and then over to Fairfax Station in the afternoon to help out Dan Helmer for VA HoD District 40.
We’ll be meeting up at Clarendon’s Northside Social at 10:00am to carpool out by 10:15am in order to arrive in Woodbridge, VA for canvassing from 11am-1pm. We'll then take a break for lunch and then drive over to Fairfax Station to canvass from 3pm-6pm. We should arrive back in Arlington by approximately 6:30pm.
The first canvass launch location address is 14804 Build America Dr, Woodbridge, VA 22191. Please come dressed to walk around for what is likely going to be warm weather (think: athletic summer clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap or visor), but keep an eye on the forecast. We recommend you wear sunscreen, bring water and snacks, and come with a fully charged phone as we will most likely be using an app to canvass.
For safety regarding COVID-19, we ask that all volunteers be vaccinated. Masks are also required for volunteering.

AYD Progressive Foreign Policy Panel
Join us and our Veterans & Foreign Affairs Caucus for our AYD Progressive Foreign Policy Panel on Tuesday, September 21st at 7pm via Zoom. We’ll be hearing from a few foreign policy professionals about various topical issues and there will be an opportunity for Q&A. Our panelists will be Matt Duss (Foreign Policy Advisor to Senator Bernie Sanders), Maha Hilal, PhD (Co-Director of Justice for Muslims Collective), and Ally Harpootlian (Communications Strategist at ACLU). AYD Knocktoberfest Trivia Night
Join the Arlington Young Democrats, candidates, and local Democratic leaders and guests for a night of socializing and trivia on Saturday, October 9th at 6pm! Extra points will be given to attendees for canvassing before the event. Help us #KeepVirginiaBlue! ⠀
Food and beverages will be provided and don't worry about forming a team beforehand, teams will be randomized night of!

TICKETS: Knocktoberfest Trivia Night is one of four events included with your purchase of a Gold Card. Individual tickets can also be purchased for $50 (Roosevelt-Obama Society $45; Young/Senior Dem $40).
