We need strong, progressive coalitions to make bold, transformative changes happen. ALIGN has been doing the movement building needed to tackle the monumental challenges of our time. That is why I am so proud to be honored at the ALIGN's Movement Builders Awards, alongside Stuart Appelbaum, President of Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union, Senator Michael Gianaris and Assemblymember Karines Reyes, champions of the NY HERO Act. 

It has never been more clear that we must move toward an economy that respects our workers and planet. As the Director of the Worker Institute’s Labor Leading on Climate Initiative at Cornell ILR, I am proud to have a partner like ALIGN who is able to bring labor unions, environmental justice, and community groups together and yield wins in moving us toward a just transition.
