Friend --
State governments across the country are ushering in grim new laws attacking our voting rights, abortion rights, and more. Just look at Texas, where a wildly undemocratic law to make voting harder was passed within days of a draconian abortion ban.
These new laws erode the basic freedoms of every American: the right to vote, the right to make our own medical decisions. And you can bet that even more states will pass these kinds of extreme, unpopular laws unless Congress steps in.
Dean is working every day to prove that government can still be responsive to real people. But the upcoming FEC deadline will show the world if we've built a movement worthy of this work. So before tomorrow's mid-month deadline, will you chip in to show you've still got his back?

The fight against these extreme laws is a fight against big money. Why? Simple: The lawmakers passing them are funded by equally extreme special interest groups -- and those groups have the money to influence elections and push their agenda in more states.
These groups have their eyes set on Minnesota, and they're closing in on Dean. While we work to uplift the voices of ordinary people, they're spending big to distort our message before the official FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline coming at the end of September.
This deadline is absolute, so we have no room to let up. If Republican PACs and special interests sense any weakness, they will flood our district with negative ads to try and turn it red.
We're counting on you to keep us on solid footing as we pass tomorrow's mid-month deadline. Give any amount today to keep fighting for Dean -- so he can keep fighting for us.
Thanks,
The DeanTeam
