The Muslim Council of Britain is excited to share with you our upcoming work to support environmental change and sustainability in the lead-up to COP26 (The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference).

We have partnered with the Muslim Charities Forum, Islamic Relief, and The Climate Coalition for the Great Big Green Week, 18th - 26th September 2021.

We want to showcase how Muslim communities are also playing an important role in climate change as well as share some best pratice on how you can get involved.

See below our upcoming sustainability conference as well as a Friday sermon, we encourage all mosques to use this on Friday 24th September inshaAllah.

Friday Sermon (Khutbah):
Muslims and the Environment
 
إن الحمد لله نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا ، من يهده الله فلا مضل له ومن يضلل فلا هادي لهوأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله
يا أيها الذين ءامنوا اتقوا الله حق تقاته، ولا تموتن إلا وأنتم مسلمون.
 
Salamun-alaikum, Peace be with you,
 
In Quran (Allah (SWT) tells us: 
It is He who made you custodian on the earth and raises some of you above others in rank, to test you through what He gives you. [Prophet], your Lord is swift in punishment, yet He is most forgiving and merciful.” Quran 6:165
