President Trump called on Republicans yesterday to "get tougher and fight" the Democrats' impeachment effort.

He's absolutely right, and here's why:

The Democrats moved forward with impeachment because they believe that (a) it can damage President Trump enough to defeat him, and that (b) some Republicans might cave and give it credibility.

You see, if Republicans stick together and oppose impeachment, it will rightfully be seen by Americans as the hyper-partisan witch hunt that it is, which will likely backfire on the Democrats.

But if some Republicans go soft and buckle under pressure, many Americans could conclude that there is merit to the impeachment effort and oppose President Trump's re-election.

That's why it is so important for freedom-loving Americans to take action right now and make their voices heard.

We need to stiffen the spines of the Republicans in Washington and make the Democrats question the wisdom of their gamble.

The Democrats' real targets here are the wishy-washy Republicans who can be convinced to legitimize their attacks on the President. That's what is behind their strategy.
